CALL TO ARTISTS

In this fast paced world our experiences with people, places and feelings come and go but their memories can hold a special place in our hearts and shape who we are. We all have different reasons and techniques for accessing memories. We have within us the capacity to remember generational memories of our ancestors that subconsciously guide our paths today. Remembering can bring us great joy as well as deep sadness and fear, it can keep us safe from not making a mistake again or draw us towards a long forgotten yearning held deep within our hearts. Share your story. . . share your truth. . . share what you remember.

Important Dates:

  • SUBMISSIONS DEADLINE: SUNDAY, January 12, 2025 at MIDNIGHT.

  • You will be notified Wednesday, January 15 what pieces have been selected. 

  • Selected works must be dropped off Sunday, January 19, 2025

  • (Do not ship or drop off work before the selection invitation has been made)

  • Location: The Gallery at Morning Star, 12509 Idlewild Road, Matthews, NC 28105                                                       

  • This exhibition will remain on display from February 7, 2024 - May 18, 2024 

  • Mark Your calendars: Opening Reception is set for Friday, February 7 from 6:00p.m. to 8:30p.m.                             Live musical guests, Refreshments and meet-n-mingle time, always free and open to everyone!
